
Our cultivated vineyards, in Assmannshausen and Ruedesheim, span a total
of nineteen acres. In the Hoellenberg and Frankenthal areas of Assmannshausen,
we grow red grapes exclusively. The broken-down slate
(phyllite) in the Hoellenberg soil and the combination of slate and
quartz in the Frankenthal soil are ideal for producing Spaetburgunder.
White Burgundy (Pinot Blanc) and Riesling, grown from grapes planted
in nearby Ruedesheim, complete our wonderful selection of wines.
